About the Software Preservation Group

by Michael L Powell last modified 2020-04-08 13:15

This document describes the basic organization of the SPG.

The Software Preservation Group (originally known as the Software Collection Committee) is a volunteer committee of the Computer History Museum. It was formed in October 2003 to assist the museum in achieving its overall mission with respect to software.

The first chair of the group was Bernard Peuto; he was succeeded by Al Kossow.

The group originally met monthly at the museum, usually with 15-20 attendees.

See Can you help? for ways you can get involved with the committee.

To contact the committee, send email to Paul McJones or Al Kossow.
